Over the last few years, Google, Bing, and Yahoo began placing much more emphasis on local search results for web searches of local businesses, products & services. In the past, a jewelry company located in St Louis, Missouri had just as good a chance of being at the top of search results as a company that is 2 miles from your home. Google and other search engines are trying to “fix” this by placing more emphasis on the actual geographical location of the company.
